Disk Quota Exceeded

If you see the error message 'Disk Quota Exceeded' when transferring a file, it means that you have run out of FTP space with your Web host.

Contact your ISP or Web host to see how you go about getting more space, or delete some older files that you no longer need.

I wanted to add some more files, but it said "Dis Quota Exceeded." So, I figured I needed to get rid of some stuff, so I deleted some of it. I tried to upload again, getting the same message. I even tried uploading the files I just deleted, and I still could not. do you know why I'd be getting a "Disc Quota Error" when I'm trying to upload files I just deleted? Thanks.
