Holiday Pictures

With the holiday season officially underway, the holiday pictures have begun. This week, we'll be focusing the FTPplanet blog on digital pictures.

To start, We'd like to hear about the digital camera that you use. Leave a comment in the blog or post to this thread and let us know what you use and if you're happy with the camera.

As a side note, the author of this blog is currently in the market for a digital camera and is looking at the Kodak EasyShare C330. Anybody have one?

For all of our weblog activity, we use Canon ZR10 digital video camcorders. We post video clips as well as still images. When we need a still pic, we use one frame of the video. Saves the cost of two cameras. Everyone needs a video camcorder for family rememberance movies. This is a great two-fer. And we love the Canons. Use three ZR10s and three XL-1s.

Sony DSC-P1 3.3 antique. Slow, but works fine - and quite small. At the time it was one of the best (at $700!) but is showing its age. Too hard to keep buying new cameras, just like PCs, and staying current. BUT, Sony is now off of all of my lists now because of the CD "rootkit" install on PCs. Sony, what were you thinking?

I currently use a Nikon D70. Since the 16th Dec last year I've taken over 21,000 images on it. I'm exceptionally happy with the D70. cheers, Ian.

If I didn't use NiMH batteries, I'd be one unhappy bunny - it eats batteries for breakfast. Forget using the display - strictly viewfinder for normal use. A docking station with a power lead to the camera is essential if any leisurely tabletop studio work is planned. Macro is not particularly close, either. The threaded hole underneath is so far to one side that the camera is always fighting with gravity when placed at an angle on a tripod. Am very unimpressed and wish I had researched the evaluation process better before buying it.

I have a Canon 20D digitial SLR. I also have a good range of lenses and use it very successfully in photography for inclusion in our publications. It produces a very good file size. An excellent camera that gives me much pleasure.
