Do you have an FTP server? Here are some tips.
Based on the most common FTP problems we hear of, here are a few tips for FTP server administrators:
- Be sure to have your FTP server live so that people can connect to it.
- Test your FTP server before allowing people to connect. This includes testing permissions.
- Speaking of permissions, be careful not to give users permissions that they shouldn’t have. You don't want someone to accidently delete files.
- Keep logs of all activity. This can help you troubleshoot should a problem occur.
