550 Error
There is a post in the discussion forums about the 550 error:
Hello,
Whenever I try to upload a file more than 2kb, it does not work. This is what happens: files at 1 kb are good; no problem getting across.
When I try a bigger file the transfer manager shows a 100% status, HOWEVER the 'Finish' never pops up and the rate of transfer goes...down...and down, until it reaches critical mass, then fails. Any ideas?
I am using WS FTP Pro.
FTPplanet's response notes:
The 550 error usually signifies some kind of permissions problem.
This sounds like you may not have permission to write files over 1kb or perhaps you're out of disk space. Your best course of action is to contact the FTP site administrator.
Did the error log contain any information other than "550 error"?
More information on the 550 error can be found here.
