New Version of Snarfer Released
A new version of Snarfer was recently released with some great new features. Snarfer is, of course, the FTPplanet staff's RSS reader of choice (for more on RSS, click here.)
One of the really cool new features in this version of Snarfer is their new wizard that lets you set up custom RSS feeds on eBay, Craigslist and other sites.

Using WS_FTP's Compression Mode
WS_FTP Professional 2006 introduces compression mode to your FTP experience. With compression mode, you can have WS_FTP Professional automatically convert uploaded files to .ZIP format before transferring. The compressed file will decrease transfer times, since the compressed file will typically be of a smaller file size.

WS_FTP Professional 2007 is featured in Personal Computer World today.

Using Your Desktop to FTP
It's easy to use your desktop to FTP files. Simply open your FTP client and drag files from your desktop to the remote FTP window (or vice versa).
You can actually do this with any Windows folder, not just your desktop!

Hide the Arrows
In WS_FTP, you can hide the Transfer Buttons (a.k.a. the arrows) by clicking View and then Transfer Buttons. This will help free up some screen space if you prefer to transfer files by dragging and dropping or copying and pasting.
