WS_FTP Home for a great price

I just got an email from Ipswitch about a discount on WS_FTP Home. If you need file transfer software this is a great deal.....

"Buy now and get 25% off a single user license of WS_FTP Home.

Don’t delay -- Simplify your life by using the award-winning WS_FTP Home 2007 to quickly and easily transfer music, photos and video files and publish websites, blogs and podcasts!"

IMHO, getting such a quality piece of software for less than $30 is a bargain. Sure, there are freebies available but they have much less functionality, speed or customer support. Here's a list of many of the product features with screenshots. I especially like the integrated desktop search capability that's built into WS_FTP Home -- no more wasted time looking for those hard-to-find files that I've misplaced!

I've often wondered about the search thingy. It has always seemed to me that if I can't remember where a file is, how in the world will I remember the name of the file, to do a 'search'.

Luckily, I have had no need of this feature, yet!.

Hi Paul -- Good question. Sure, knowing the file name and/or folder location certainly makes finding a file easier. For me, there have been countless times where I know a file is on my C: drive but I'm not sure exactly where and WS_FTP's desktop search found it for me real fast. But even if you dont know that, the search feature can help you locate files by searching by "date" or "size".
It's definitely not among my most often used features, but it has come in handy on more than a few occasions. It's a nice additional add-on that you wont find on other file transfer products.
