FTP Tip:
In WS_FTP, what does the 'Exec' button do? The
'Exec' button (short for
execute) will open a file in its assigned Windows
program rather than view
it in a text editor. For example, if you have an .html
file highlighted and
click on the 'Exec' button, WS_FTP will launch your
default Web browser and
automatically load this Web page for viewing.

The SUNET (Swedish University Network) FTP site is a
terrific site. There is
a healthy mix of everything: games, music, pictures,
science, news and
just about anything else you can think off.
The site is lacking in the 'readme' file department
but most directory names
are self explanatory. For example, to find a long list
of animated gifs, go
to the '/pub/pictures/animated_gifs' directory or for
Internet utilities, go
to the '/pubs/www/' directory.
But, by all means, don't limit yourself to just the
'/pubs' directory. There
are 11 different versions of the 'pub' directory,
which are
all worth checking out. You're sure to find something
of interest to you.
There are also number of different mirrors of other
popular FTP sites!
