FTP Tip: 'Customizing the WS_FTP display'
Not only can you customize the sounds associated with
WS_FTP functions,
you can also adjust WS_FTP's layout to better suite
your personal style.
Click on the 'Options' button and then the 'Display'
tab. There you'll see
that you're able to adjust fonts, button location, the
date format, and
more. You can even toggle between the classic
side-by-side pane layout or
the 'Alternative Screen Layout', a stacked pane
format.
Do you have a good FTP tip? Send us your tips
and we'll feature them in the
FTPplanet.com Newsletter. Send tips to webmaster@FTPplanet.com
with the
subject 'FTP Tips'.

I stumbled upon this FTP site while doing an FTP
search for images of a
globe. What I found was satellite images of earth on
one of the most
interesting government FTP sites I've seen.
FedWorld is the original source for many government
documents on the net.
They claim to have over 10,000 data files produced by
different U.S.
Government agencies.
The site has IRS tax forms, weather satellite images,
Federal Job listings,
White House press releases, and much more. My personal
'best
find' on the site was a full text version of the U.S.
Constitution.
(/pub/misc/constit.txt).
The site is fairly easy to navigate. Like most FTP
sites, the majority of
files are listed under the '/pub' directory.
From there, directories are
well-labeled and have the invaluable index file.
Survey Results: 'How have recent legal issues affected
your use of MP3s?'
According to the FTPplanet.com community, recent legal
issues surrounding
MP3s have had no effect or increased the use of the
controversial music
format.
