Featured FTP Tip: 'Backing up FTP sites'
For those of you out there who have stored FTP
settings within WS_FTP, a
simply backup can save you from big headaches if your
system crashes or
becomes corrupt. All the site settings are
stored within WS_FTP's
directory in files that have extension '.ini'.
These files are very small
and can easily be copied to a floppy disk or
transferred to another
computer.
The '.ini' files are stored in the 'C:/Program
Files/WS_FTP Pro/' directory
or 'C:/Program Files/WS_FTP LE/' if you're using
WS_FTP LE.

This great FTP site is the backbone of the popular
Website. It puts
virtually any game within the immediate grasp of the
anxious gamer.
When logging in, you will need to go to the 'pub'
directory. From there,
the you'll see folders labeled 'apps', 'cheats',
'help', 'movies', and more.
For hundreds of game demos go to the '/gamage/win'
directory. If you're
looking for game drivers like DirectX, you'll find
them in the '/apps'
directory.
I found no index or help files telling you what each
file is. Some are easy
to decipher, especially those in folders that have few
files. The Windows
game directory however, there are over a thousand
files and if you don't
know the file name, it difficult to figure out what to
download.
If you know what you're looking for, it is one of the
best FTP sites out
there.
