In both WS_FTP Pro and WS_FTP LE, it's easy to
customize the sounds
associated with connections and transfers. With WS_FTP
open, click on
'Options' and then click on the 'Sounds' tab. There
you'll see the
list of functions and their associated sound files.
For each function,
click on the button with the '...' to browse your
computer for .wav
files. Once you select a new .wav file, it's then
associated with that
function.

Walnut Creek CD-ROM's FTP site is a game site that's
not exclusively
for the die-hard gamer. With a whole array of game
types from puzzles
and trivia, to arcade and strategy, this FTP site is
definitely worth
checking out.
In general, the site is pretty well laid out and easy
to navigate.
Each directory level has its own index.html file. When
they are up and
running, these files index the contents of their
directory - providing
descriptions with links to the various files.
Similar to most FTP sites, when you first enter the
site you want to
go to the 'pub' sub-directory. There you will find a
number of self-
descriptive directories including 'audio, 'cheats', 'demos',etc.
If you're looking for games, you'll want to go
straight to the 'games'
directory. From there, you will probably want to go to
the 'windows'
directory and then start looking around. You'll find
directories of
arcade games, card games, casino games, sport games,
strategy games
and much more. There should be something there to
interest just about
anyone.
