Featured FTP Tip: Reader submitted tip for transferring multiple files

This Featured FTP Tip was submitted by Ozzie Osband. Because his tip
is featured in the newsletter, Ozzie wins a free copy of WS_FTP Pro!

"When moving a lot of files at one time, the 'Progress Bar' from each
transfer interrupts you from doing other things by popping-up on each
new transfer. To turn this off, click 'Options', and then click the
'Sessions' tab. There, you can uncheck the box 'Show Transfer Process
Dialog' and then click the 'Okay' button. You'll then be able to work
away while your transfers take place in the background."

Featured Book: The JavaScript Bible- It makes JavaScript easy
http://www.FTPplanet.com/nl.plx?062301:book

This plain English JavaScript book is a great resource for anyone who
knows HTML and wants to start using JavaScript. It serves as both a
great read-through for those new to JavaScript and a terrific
reference for JavaScript pros.

As most of you already know, JavaScript is embedded right into HTML
and allows you to add 'action' to your Web pages -- scrolling text,
hover buttons, pop-up windows, etc. -- but JavaScript can also be a
very powerful tool for generating dynamic web pages, data collection,
and data manipulation.

This book has a very helpful compatibility chart that shows browser
compatibility (both Netscape and IE) for each JavaScript object. It
also has great sample code right inline with the text and on the
accompanying CD.

The JavaScript Bible is definitely a 'must have' for anyone who is comfortable with HTML and looking to take the next step in Web page
design.
