FTP TIP: Resuming Canceled or Interrupted Transfers
In both WS_FTP LE and WS_FTP Pro, you can resume any
interrupted download.
When you reconnect to the remote FTP server, you are
automatically prompted
to resume the download - picking up the failed
download right where it left
off.
In WS_FTP Pro 7.0 there is also a new Transfer Manager
that allows you to
'resume' any transfer (upload or download), even when
canceled manually.
That means if a transfer is taking far too long to
complete, you can simply
cancel it and resume the transfer later.
To access the Transfer Manager, click 'View' from the
menu bar and check
Transfer Manager. Any previous transfers that were
canceled or interrupted
will show as 'Paused'. Right-click on the item and
select 'Start'. WS_FTP
Pro will then ask you if you would like to Overwrite,
Skip, or Resume the
transfer.
