Many of you use WS_FTP to transfer Web pages. Whether
you use the Limited
Edition (LE) or the Pro, WS_FTP is also great for
managing your site.
A good example was submitted by FTPplanet member
Apollo985:
"I use the WS_FTP.LOG file as a marker so I can
see which files need to be
uploaded to my Web site. I set the sort order (under
Options) to "sort on
date" / "reverse order" / "folders
on top". Then any files listed above the
log file are newer than the last upload and I know to
upload them."
"The technology is finally getting there - and at
only $250! Throw away the
included headphones and get some good ones (I like the
Koss KSC-35); then it
sounds great! It's reasonably sized, although mine
weighs 10 ounces, not 8
as I believe they reported. With a 10 gb hard drive,
you can afford to store
tracks at 256k or 320k bitrates and still have plenty
of music.
Battery life seems good, too. It does hang up between
tracks when I take it
jogging, but if I stop it starts the next track. I
take it mountain biking
with no problems (remote areas only, of course). I
must be a lot smoother on
the bike than I am running!
The only other problem I have had is with the Music
Explorer software. It
can't seem to copy all the tracks in the correct
order. eDigital tech
support has responded to my comment and are looking
into it. It currently
doesn't support playlists, but I hope that will be
included in a future
firmware update. Overall, I would say it's a great
player."
