Do you have a favorite way of viewing a list of files?
Would you rather see
large icons, small icons, or details? Well, in WS_FTP
Pro 7.0, you can set
your directory view just as you would in Windows
Explorer.
To modify the directory view, click on one of the four
icons located to the
left of Help (yellow question mark) in the Toolbar.
From left to right, the
icons are: Large Icon; Small Icon; List; and Details.
If you hold your mouse
cursor over the icons, Help Balloons will also tell
you what each button
does.
"Homesite can be used by a wide range of people
who wish to work in native
web language (HTML) and is a serious productivity tool
for professionals. It
has many wizards to help speed work along and the code
these wizards produce
can be trusted.
Compared to many WYSIWYG web editors, the code is
actually
readable! It integrates well with Dreamweaver to
provide even more
versatility.
The project management helps a person keep one's head
straight
as project sizes increase. However, because I do many
different websites,
one of the best additions they could add would be to
have multiple projects
on the go and easily switched (just like their tabs
make file switching so
easy)."
In a surprise move, Yahoo announced last week that
beginning April 2,
2002 you will no longer have FTP access as part of
their free home page
service.
Apparently, FTP is a major selling point for Web
hosting services. So much
so that in a attempt to get you to upgrade to their
Premium service ($4.95
per month plus $10 setup fee), Yahoo GeoCities will
only offer FTP access to
their paying customers.
Yahoo's announcement states that "Premium Members
will not be affected by
this change in service. Free members interested in
continuing their FTP
service are encouraged to consider our premium
packages."
