FTP TIP: Opening Transferred Files without leaving
WS_FTP
Did you ever want to listen to that MP3 file or view
that image you just
downloaded without leaving WS_FTP? Well, you can and
it's quick and easy.
Simply highlight the file you want to open and click
the 'Exec' or 'Execute'
button. WS_FTP will automatically open that file in
its associated program.
(Note: Doing this with an .html file will open it in
your Web browser as
this is the default program for this file type.)
"I like having control over the code, so Hot Dog
suits me. I currently use
version 6.5, but began with version 5 and upgraded
when a special price was
advertised. They have an excellent discussion forum to
sort out problems.
The newer version crashes less than the older one.
With it came Ulead Photo
Impact 5 and Cool 3D 2.5 which I use but had older
versions of. I find them
useful, but especially PI5 which I use frequently.
One fault I have is that the CSS files are stored in a
single directory. I
would like them to be stored wherever I wish, instead
of having to import
them, edit, and then copy back to the my working
directory. The version I
have does not allow the colored scroll bar effects, so
these have to be
entered manually.
Some DHTML effects are useful, but I would appreciate
more useful JavaScript
effects."
