FTP TIP: Creating your own WS_FTP Sound Themes

Did you know:
In WS_FTP, you can easily create your own themed sounds for the common
WS_FTP functions. For example, you could create a baseball theme using
"take me out to the ball game" for connections, "play ball" for file
transfers, and a "you're out" for a failed transfer.

Be creative and create your own themes! A great resource for sounds is the
multimedia directory of UNC's Sunsite FTP site:

To change WS_FTP sounds:
For WS_FTP Pro 7.5, you modify the sounds from the Windows Control
Panel. Click 'Start', 'Settings', 'Control Panel' and then select 'Sounds
...'. From the new Window, scroll down to the WS_FTP associated sounds and
change them to any .wav file on your system.

For WS_FTP LE, click on 'Options' from within the program and then click
on the 'Sounds' tab. You'll see the list of functions and their associated
sound files. For each function, click on the button with the '...' to browse
your computer for .wav files to associate with that function.

forum and you could win a free copy of WS_FTP Pro 7.5!

FEATURE

Product: EditPlus Text Editor
Category: HTML Editor Programs
Rating: 4.67 Planets (out of 5)
Number of Reviews: 3

Featured review: Bob Unruh 5/20/02, 5 Planets:
http://www.FTPplanet.com/nl.plx?060102:EditPlus

"EditPlus 2 is a 'must have' piece of software for anyone wanting to work
with HTML. It has something for everyone.

If you are a programmer/coder it is the tool you need for web pages. Whether
you are a novice or an expert, it can be customized to your preferences and
is easy to use.

From building pages from scratch to performing global changes across
multiple files, EditPlus 2 handles things quickly and is a joy to use.

One of the best features is the browser view which lets you see the web page
as it will appear on the internet - without ever uploading it.

Another very nice one is that you can totally customize this for the way you
work. From the toolbar down to the colors you use in the edit window, you
can tweak things anyway you want. If you do coding, the layout and color
scheme in the edit window makes producing and reading code seem effortless.

I highly recommend this editor. It is a very well put together and
professional piece of software.

Overall impression: A 4.95 out of 5. The only thing that would make it
better is if it were absolutely free."
