FTP TIP: Answering the Question "Do I Use ASCII or Binary?"

When transferring files to and from an FTP site, the general rule is to
use ASCII for 'text' files (which includes .html files) and Binary for
everything else. That means, you'd use Binary to transfer JPG and GIF
images, any programs, Zipped files, etc.

In both WS_FTP Pro and WS_FTP LE, it's always a good idea to check
'Auto' under 'file transfer mode'. Using 'auto' should match the correct
transfer mode for each file type.

Total Number of Reviews: 2

Featured review: Joni, 5 Planets

"Dynamic Drive is my favorite place to go "shopping" for free DHTML
scripts. The organization of the site makes it easy to browse, and the
directions for using the scripts are great! Each script is previewed on
its description page, so what you see is what you get. This site made
it simple to add flair to my website. The only problem is to know when
to quit..."

Because this review was featured in the newsletter, Joni won a free
copy of WS_FTP Pro 7.6! Post your review and you could also win!
