FTP TIP: Submitted Tip, Password Maintenance

This week's tip comes to us courtesy of FTPplanet community
member delmar3:

"I use FTP for several of my websites, linked to different URLs, so I
need a method to keep track of the several passwords required.
Here's how: Enter the password in the "Profile Name" field of the
site you are to visit or make changes to. This allows you to reenter
passwords when on another computer. Of course, this is good only
if you are the only one with access to the computer used."

Do you have a good FTP tip? Post it to the discussion forum and
you could win a free copy of WS_FTP Pro 7.6!

do it over 12 times way. I have never used a templet or those prefab
thingies that you can use to have most everything done for you in building
a website, mainely because I never knew the had them..."

bear receives a limited edition FTPplanet.com t-shirt for being the
FTPplanet Site of the Week.

FEATURE

Product:
HTML-Kit
Category: HTML Editor Programs
Overall Rating:  4.75 Planets (out of 5)
Total Number of Reviews: 11

Featured review: Leon Zeter, 5 Planets

"HTML-Kit was recommended by my Professor when I was taking a course
on XHTML at a local college. We had to program all the code for our web
site we developed. Half way thru the course he told us about HTML-Kit. It
was very simple to pick up and use and you don't need a manual. You can
audit check your program code to make sure it is XHTML correct. I find it
easier to use than front page. You can switch back and forth to edit and
preview what you have done with one click. I highly recommend it."

Because his review was featured in the newsletter, Leon won a free
copy of WS_FTP Pro 7.6! Post your review and you could also win!
