"Right now this unit probably is the best on the market. Oprah had a
give away on her show with these. They say it is very easy to use.
Holds a lot of songs that you can download to it. Should not run out
of music with this unit. The down side to this unit is the price right
now. It should come down once more users buy it. The up dated unit
when it comes out should be even better than the first unit. This unit
probably will really take off once they have a windows unit. So all you
PC users get ready for this awesome unit. "
FEATURED TIP: Follow-up Tip Naming Your Homepage
FTPplanet community member Karl posted a follow-up to the tip featured
in the last issue of the newsletter. To refresh, here is the last tip:
"When creating your Web site, the page that visitors first see when coming to
your site is called your Homepage. This is the page that visitors go to by default
when they type in the main address for your site.
This homepage can be any HTML page you want, but it must be named either
index.html or default.html. For example, when you visit FTPplanet.com
root directory or http://www.FTPplanet.com/index.html.
This is true of all subdirectories as well. For example.
http://www.FTPplanet.com/newsletter/ will actually go to the 'index.html' page in
the 'newsletter' directory.
When you create your personal Web pages, remember to name the page you
want as your Homepage 'index.html'."
Karl follows up with "A recent tip indicated that you should name your homepage
(the page that visitors first see when they come to your web site) either index.html
or default.html. While these two file names are most common, web servers can be
configured to recognize any file name as the start page for a directory, e.g.
homepage.html, default.asp, index.php, etc. Bottom line - you should check with
your site host to find out the file name(s) your server recognizes."
Very true! For his follow-up tip, Karl wins a copy of WS_FTP Pro and an FTPplanet
