can be a little confusing to use your very
first time.
--> Having Problems Using FTP With a Firewall?
Here are a few things to try if you're having
problems using FTP through your firewall:
- Allow your FTP client access to the Internet
- Allow port 21 (or whichever port your FTP site
uses) to be used
- Reset all of your firewall settings
- Toggle the passive transfer option in your
FTP client
You can also, as a temporary solution, turn off
the firewall. If you turn off the firewall and
FTP works again, you know the problem is with
the firewall. Just be sure to turn your firewall
back on!
