Using Active Edit to Update a Remote File

In the Active Edit Properties dialog, type your desired extension in the Extension(s) field (for example .txt or .html). Then, in the Editor field, enter the path to the directory where your desired Editor is located on your computer.

Note: Directory path varies by computer. If you don’t know the location of your desired Editor, click on the Browse button (to the right of the Editor field) and browse to the correct directory or select Windows Default Association from the Editor dropdown list.

Click the OK button. The extension should now appear in the list.

Note: To enter multiple extensions for a particular editor, simply enter the extensions separated by commas in the Extension(s) field.
