'Create Shortcut' window should now be open. First
you'll need locate the item you want to shortcut to, i.e. WS_FTP
Pro. You
can browse to the location of you WS_FTP Pro executable
(.exe file) or
simply cut and paste the following (these are the default
locations for these programs):
WS_FTP Pro executable: "C:\Program Files\WS_FTP
Pro\wsftppro.exe" However,
you're not done so please don't
click the Next button yet.
You'll also need
to add your FTP site profile information or you'll just be
creating a shortcut to WS_FTP Pro. Following
the closing quote in the text you just entered, you'll need
to enter
-p (for profile) then the folder name and
profile name seperated by an ! . For
this example, let's use the Ipswitch FTP site profile (which
comes with every version of WS_FTP Pro). Add
the following: -p Ipswitch!Ipswitch
To
create shortcuts to other profiles, simply substitute the
new profile folder name and profile name:
... \wsftppro.exe"
-p foldername!profilename
Note:
This shortcut may not work with profile names or
folder names that have spaces in them. A
work-around is to replace the spaces in your names
with underscores ( _ ).
You can now
click the Next > button.
