The WS_FTP Pro Synchronize Utility - Updating a Local Folder with Files in a Remote Folder

You may have noticed that changing the synchronization mode also changes the Actions that the WS_FTP Pro Synchronize Utility
will perform when it finds an item of a particular Status.
Take a look at the actions that will be performed when we select (Synchronize Location1 <- Location2) as our synchronization mode:

Action |
| Only on Loc1 |
If the file is only found in Location1, no transfer will take place. |
| Newer on Loc1 |
If the file found in Location1 is newer than the file found in Location2, no transfer will take place. |
| Same on both |
If the file found is the same in both locations, no transfer will take place. |
| Newer on Loc2 |
If the file found in Location2 is newer than the file found in Location1, then transfer the file to Location1. |
| Only on Loc2 |
If the file is only found in Location2, then transfer the file to Location1. |

Note: If you don’t want any of the pre-set options, select Customized from the Synchronization mode dropdown. This allows you to set your own actions for each file status.
