Setting Up a Workspace in
WS_FTP Professional WS_FTP
Professional introduces the concept of FTP workspaces. A
workspace is a saved configuration in WS_FTP, saving you the
time of navigating to multiple folders and FTP sites every
time you use WS_FTP Professional. The WS_FTP Professional
Workspace Bar lets you easily switch between saved
workspaces:

This tutorial will guide you
through the steps of creating a workspace. While very simple
to set-up, workspaces can be a very powerful tool for
Webmasters, bloggers, podcasters, auction enthusiasts, music
aficionados...everyone!
Workspaces are incredibly easy
to set-up. To start, make sure WS_FTP Professional has the
Workspaces Toolbar showing. Select View > Toolbars >
Workspace Bar to enable it.

Next, navigate the local and
remote sides of WS_FTP Professional to the configuration you
want.
Once you have the configuration
you want, click Add in the Workspace Bar.

WS_FTP will
prompt your for a Workspace Name. You can call it anything
you like. Click OK and the workspace will be saved.
 To use this workspace
in the future, select the workspace name from the drop-down
box in the Workspace Bar and WS_FTP will automatically
connect to all FTP sites and navigate to the appropriate
folders in the workspace.
If you need to make a change to
an existing workspace, select it from the drop-down,
navigate to the new configuration you want and select
Save. This will overwrite the existing workspace with
the new configuration. |
