A few years ago, a friend gave me FrontPage. I designed a website for my budding business with it.
I soon discovered that uploading new and changed files via FrontPge's process took "forever" - sometimes 30 minutes. I do't know what the software was doing, but it was taking forever to do it.Then someone told me about WS_FTP-LE. OK, I'll 'fess up - I'd since left school, but it was enough for my needs - I didn't need all the features of WS-FTP-Pro.
WS_FTP-LE let me upload files one-by-one or in groups, just the files I wanted to. Suddenly, I could do an upload in seconds! I could do a small change to a webpage and upload it to see the difference immediately. I could now finetune my webpages easily - working on them became far less of a burden. I could change a photo and the page link, and upload both in a flash - what a difference!
WS_FTP-LE was efficient and easy to use, and it changed my web life.
I will definitely upgrade to WS_FTP Home (especially if you award me a copy from this posting ! )Regards,
