Hotlinks means he wants to store the data on someone elses server and use thier bandwidth for the image retrival. There are some sites out there that will let you do it but you may need to register with them and if you hot link put a link somewhere on the page stating you are doing it with a link to thier main page this usaully keeps thier webmasters happy. Some people see it as stealing bandwidth though so you need to be careful where you do it. You would hate to upload a bunch of stuff and then have your account disabled afterward. Try skinz.org. But like I said put an obvious statement telling people you have your images there and place a link back to them on your page. So far they have not deleted my stuff. They are very good. I recommend them as a place to visit even if you don't want to place images lots of good backgrounds and stuff. go see SKINZORG[This message has been edited by MrUser (edited 05-23-2003).] IP: |

Yahoo Photos is free, and works just fine. I'm not sure what " hotlink " means but you can give people an exact link which will get them to your pics. Altho you can't put working links in your jpegs, you can certainly put the URL in as text in a jpeg and they can find you at another address via keying in on a browser. Hope that helps.amgine IP: |

BTW, FTPlanet lists 92 "FREE" image hosting sites, and I've yet to find one when I click on a review or go to the actual site. This is a BIG PROBLEM. As per their site they claim "Free Graphic Hosting Sites Need to find a place to put images of your products? Here are some places to host your pictures for free!" Now, doesn't that sound like they are going to tell you where you can find FREE image hosting???? Geesh, this is a tough job. IP: |
