I am having the same problem. Problem is my hosts don't know how to remove the limitation... I have 8000+ files in one folder and I only see the first 1998

This is definitely a limitation on the server you are being connected to. Try contacting the administrator of the FTP site you are connecting to and ask them to remove the limitation.

Hi all, I'm having a problem with my ftp client or web server. I have a dedicated web server with FreeBSD and ProFTP or proftpd as ftp server installed on it. When connecting to it by Filezilla or any other ftp client, the live log file in ftp program says: 226 -a -l Output truncated to 2000 matches. This is absolutely unacceptable. It only shows 2000 files and I DO NOT see the other files. I WANT TO SEE ALL FILES AND NOT JUST ONLY 2 THOUSAND. Thats why I cannot edit or view or delete the other files which are on the web server. As more time passes, I feel more and more like it is the ProFTP web server configuration because all other ftp clients including internet explorer ftp:// have the same problem and only show 2000 files. But where can I find the configuration file for the proftpd? PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!! I really do not know what to do. I would really appreciate any help! I would bow to you if you just could help me. Thank you!
